The inaugural National Digital Intelligence Biology Conference, hosted by Wuhan University and jointly organized by its School of Artificial Intelligence and School of Computer Science, took place successfully from December 13 to 15, 2024, at the Luojia Mountain Hotel in Wuhan. The event was co-organized by the Hubei Bioinformatics Society, the Bioinformatics and Artificial Life Committee of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, and the Bioinformatics Committee of the China Computer Federation.
Initiated by Professors Liu Juan and Hu Qiannan, the conference centered on the theme "Digital Intelligence Driven, New Quality Productivity in Biomedicine." It aimed to establish a platform for experts and scholars in digital intelligence and biomedicine to exchange ideas, accelerate the integration of innovation chains in "digital and biological economies," promote the rapid application of cutting-edge digital intelligence technologies and synthetic biological manufacturing techniques, and strengthen interdisciplinary communication.The conference featured over 20 renowned experts, including Academician Deng Zixin from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, who delivered keynote speeches on topics such as biological big data and AI-driven biosynthesis research and industrial applications. Nearly 300 participants from over 30 universities, research institutes, and industry representatives across the country attended the event. As the first interdisciplinary academic seminar in the field of digital intelligence biology in China, the conference received unanimous praise from attendees for its vibrant atmosphere and insightful discussions.
